If u can't find the one u want hold out till the end. Then shoot that 10 at the buzzer. LOL !!!!You must have a great place to hunt if you're passing on bucks in that class. Good for you.
I'll be kicking off the 2nd season on Sat. It's going to be tough to pattern the deer now. For the most part all the snow melted the last couple days. I'm not sure what food they are hitting besides the shrubsin my front yard. I'm planning on playing hookey from work next week a day or so.
I did find 2 fresh rub lines last week scouting. I'm going to set up on them for an afternoon hunt or two. The prints in the snow were pretty large.

Look for thick cover like green briars and honey suckle.If you don't have any crops around they will be hitting the browse heavy.My first choice would be corn.

Hope everyones hunting is well. Made it out one last time with the black powder and had a nice doe come into around 25 yrds. They sure are beautiful in the snow! Hope she will make a few bucks.

I have the weekend off starting fri. @ 2:00. The weather will be mild in mid 30's.
Hope I can get a shot. There are alot of deer here in Treasure Lake. The herd needs thinned out and I'm on the job. LOL!!!

Congrats on the buck blood.. You def need to post the story up here for us.
Sorry I haven't been able to check in for so long fellas. I had some issues with our wireless provider and finally had to switch over to someone else.
I haven't been able to put anything on the ground with headgear yet. I did see my first mature buck of the yearlast night. 5 more yards and he would have been mine.
I'm heading back out tonight and then off to my buddies cabin for the rest of the weekend. I'll keep you guys posted if I do any good. Good luck to everyone who still has a tag.
