Nice buck, tell your buddy congrats. And good luck to you walt. I was out last night and i have never seen the moon so bright. I thought that i would see deer moving all over after sunset, but not quite the case. I only saw a few does on stand but nothing close. Hopefully i will get out a few more time before the woods fills up with the orange army. Firearm season opens on the 3rd.

Well guys im back from my elk hunt. Had a few chances on some elk but blowing chances[&:]. As for with the bow i did get my first bow kill lol a ruffed grouse took his head right off at 30yds, id say i hit the bullseye. I did draw back on a doe but she was moving way to fast, i seen my monster 180+ buck again but once again he was one step ahead of me[:@]. But today i decided not to bring my bow along and im kickin myself in the butt for that, had a really nice 4x4 whitey 40yds from me, i could have got closer too[:@], i sat a watched him for at least 15mins he was just feeding could have shot him 30 times. Also did some fishing and had lots great success there. All the stories and pics are spread out between the fishing,upland and big game and bow hunting forum.(most of pics are in big game.)

Didn't get out this weekend, but checked my trail cam over a mock scrape that i set up. Not much activity, just one small buck. Hopefully will be getting out this week, but need to help my brother butcher tonight. He took an awsome 10 on sat night that came in on to the horns. No pics yet,but he is in the contest so they will show up.

hey guys, havent done alot of hunting lately. My grandmother passed away thursday. I did go out thurs. friday, and sat. So I guess Ive done a little. I had a TALL 6 pt. with some kickers about 5 yds away for the better part of an hour on Sat. Decided to pass on him cuz if he has that character next year but bigger he'll be an awesome buck. I was on the ground in some CRP when he came out. I had just shot at a doe and was looking for my arrow. He saw me and blew, I grunted then he just kept getting closer and checkin me out. He blew and ran off 5 times and I called him back every time, in hopes that the bigger guy would assume it was ok to come out. I finally got tired of playing tag with him and used a deeper grunt and he ran off just inside the woods so I snuck out and let them come out to feed for the night since it was pretty dark by then. No chasing goin on around me yet but I figure by Thurs. things should heat up a bit. I'll let ya know, Im goin out Thurs.---Sun. Good luck to ya. (and for the record in case anyone is wondering. My hunting and fishing is kinda how I cope with things that upset me. I have a big heart, butI only have enough strength to deal with stuff alone. I get that from my grandmother. God Bless Her!)
