Went Duck hunting on Saturday with my son. He outshot me 2 wood ducks to 0 It was a great day! We seen tons of Woodies and some Black Ducks. The swamp was alsothick with Geese. Of course they were not open[:@]Going out in the AM for deer. I hope to see something to shoot. I need some meat in my frezzer. Maybe a nice fat Doe, that would be sweet. A big buck would be even better:DIts been real sleepy around here! Be safe!

Good to hear you and your son had a good time out bird hunting.How to wood ducks taste anyways, seen lots of them but never thought of puttin one down. Good luck to yah with the deer hopefully you can put some meat in the freezer.

Wood ducks taste very good. Not alot of meat though, small Duck. I almost had a shot at a nice 8pt yesterday. I heard a crashing on the top of the hill and here comes a doe runing down the hill. She stops 15 yards from my stand with a small 6pt in tow. Then a small 4pt joins the party. The next thing you know a shooter 8pt comes charging down the hill with his rack to the ground and charges at the two bucks with the Doe. The 8pt is standing broadside 20yards from my stand BUT!! he's behind a big blowdown[:@]. The Doe makes a right turn and ofcourse the 8pt stays with her! No shot[:o]I used my grunt tube with no luck, Oh well. I did grunt 2 small bucks a 4pt and a 5pt a hour later. They walked right under my stand. Man that is so cool when your that close to a Buck and that don't know your there:DIt was a great hunt!!! It looks like the hot weather is back here in PA[:@]I can't wait for that week off I have in November. The weather should be alot better then with the rut kicking in too! Be safe!!!

This weather sucks, I am tired of sweating my tail off just walking to my stand. I moving back to Montana.

Throw in another vote for a PA hunter unhappy about these unseasonably warm temperatures. Tomorrow should be a great day to be out though with low humidity and temps in the mid-60's.

This is the Buck that was20 yards from my treestand on 10-17 I told my hunting Buddy to go back there today to hunt my spot. As you can see it worked in his favor:DI'm happy for him he's a great Bowhunter and friend.

Sorry!! It was a 10pt and I would say it was every bit of 170lbs He was heavy!!!
