Hey guys, Ive been doing some scouting lately and still seeing only does. All except for one spike buck thatI kicked up on my way to ready the duck blind for this weekend. Im sure I'll have plenty of hunting time this year being that tomarrow is my last day of work until Dec. 10. I took voluntary layoff to keep myself safe from mandatory layoff and loose all my benefits. (and to get more hunting time
) Ill keep in touch, season opener is Oct 1 and its looking like Im gonna be hunting alot more. Unless I get this other job thats a lot better than my current job, in which case Ill be able to hunt evenings but Ill be making some killer money for my 2 month layoff.

I feel for ya Walt, I cant wait for next weekend to get here. I think this early doe season that they put in effect for some regions in PAis absurd. I just dont understand why you would want to start throwing your scent all over the woods and educating every buck out there. I think that I would have to stick myself with a broadhead if I was in my tree stand and the buck of a lifetime walked broadside at 20 yards and I wasnt allowed to shoot him. Good luck to all, and be safe

I don't know about absurd W.T.F. The PGC has a reason for this early season. Down here where I hunt in 5c-5d we have way to many Does. I will be in the woods tomorrow in a tree with a bow in my hand and I can't wait. I have plenty of spots to hunt and see no harm in trying to put some early meat in the box. I hope I do see a nice Buck tomorrow, nothing like seeing a Buck in the deer woods even if I can't shoot it. Your best chance down here to shoot a nice Buck is the first day or two of Archery. After that the big boys are in night mode and don't show until the girls start stinking. I can see your point that if you know a big Buck is a spot you know I would NOT hunt that spot til the real first day of Buck Bow on the 29th. If I don't see 10to20 Does tommorw I will be shocked!! Goodluck next week and Be Safe!!

WTG TODD! Well boys im not able to get out till next weekend but im hoping to at least put a doe on the ground next weekend cause im goi for whiteys again, or at least see a buck worth goin after. But i did see a herd of elk 15mins from my house with a nice big bull so i might go after him on one of the days. I was talkin to a friend on mine that lives like 5 mins from me and he's been seeing a few big whiteys in his fields the past few weeks so i also might have to go out there and try for them. But either way next weekend im determined to put something on the ground.
But good luck to the rest of you guys and stikbow, dont worry only 10 days till you can get out there
but then again it seems the closer you get to opening day the longer it takes lol.

Went out this morning and did not see a deer[:@]I Think W.T.F put the Hex on me
lol. On the bright side today, I did pickup a 20 acre horse farm to hunt. The lady who has the farm said that 5 of her horses got lymes from deer ticks last year. She also said that she had 25 Ginnie Hens this summer, now all she has is 1[:-]The Fox had a good summer. I asked herif she wanted me to shoot Foxes and she said no. She likes them!!!! Go figure .Today also is the first time I ever hunted with a recurve. It's alot lighter than a wheel bow. I can't wait to draw down on a deer with it and release a arrow, Maybe after work Monday!!! BE Safe
