Hi Guys!!! Sorry I havn't checked in sooner. My name is Brett Hyde, from Bozeman, MT. I have been out chasing Goats in the smokey mountains of MT. I like the name. I will try to check in as much as possible, but with season two weeks away I will be spending lots of time shooting my bow, scouting the elk, deer, goats, etc. My good friend and little brother both drew a Mountain Goat tag in the same area, so I will be helping them score a big one. Dude, I deleted the "new team thread". It's part of the whole process to have page after page of friendships. Last year, my team 36 broke a record, just as team 43 will probably do this year. It's just as simple to jump to the last page......if every team did this it would really cloud of the forum and for HNI's sake I try to limit the forum to 3 pages. I delete old used up thread to do this.

No big deal, just carry on. ;)

Alright guys and gals.... communications are going to be few and far inbetween. Quick story, kinda off topic but kinda applies here. Wednesday around 3:30 in the afternoon,twelve 81mm rockets, that was shot by "the bad guys", came into the camp I am on. The sirens went off and I immediately headed to a bunker to seek shelter.These rockets started rainingin everywhere. One met me about half way to the bunker. It hit a trailer I wasrunning beside and killed afemale soldier running next to me. I didn't get a scratch. To make a long story short, the internet cables went through this trailer and now I am without internet. Im not complaining that is all that happened to me, but I just wanted to let everyone know why you might not see me on here very much. I am using the public internet which I can only do about once a week. Maybe someone can change my avatar for me also? I would likethe custom one with my name if that's possible. Sorry for the bummer and hope everyone's scouting is going great...................Mike

The locals got some of the new internetcables ran today. Mine was one of the first, so I was lucky. Thanks for all the concerns from everyone back home. We all appreciate it very much. Hopefully it will stay quiet around here until I leave. As sad as it is, the incoming fire happens pretty regularly. Mortars and rockets are their choice of weapons and deaths are kinda hit or miss. Wednesday 5 people were killed and 6 others injured right here on the camp I live in. I'll tell ya, this will give you a new perspective of life. Anyways, enough rambling. My cousin (bamahuntin)has been scouting and preparing our hunting sites in my absence. I will be ready to go full blast when I get home. Iam going to have to be shooting my bow every day to get back into it. Its been awhile. So much to do before Oct13.
