Ok here are my bucks that I have mounted, and a couple turkey fans, beards and some other antlers from deer Ive killed along with who knows what else hehehe. Oh above the deer mounts is one of the self bows I carved out of some walnut. I used a draw knife and a tillering board to make it. It shoots awesome...

Nice collection you have there Ken. Have you killed anything with the bow you made yourself. That would be a neat feeling.

Germ that is, as my wife calls it "your basement". I get to do pretty much what I want to down there. Even sleep once in a while. I have so many animals down there, when my daughter had sleepovers none of the girls could sleep down there. Too many eyes watching them.

Most of the smaller critters and the turkey I did myself. One of my hobbies I have picked up.

LebeauHunter I'm banking on you to be the only one on this team to kill anything worthy of a wall mount this year.
If I kill a wallhanger, all other teams will be in big trouble b/c I'm the only one on this team without a sponsor. [8D]

Troy,
Do he have crab claws at the end of both?
I swear he is the older brother of mine from last year.

ORIGINAL: shed33

Gary, yeah I like the full sneak. I have two bucks done like that (full)to fit in my basement under exposed beams, I needed their heads down. I do like the ears back the best.. but like it all ...

Most of my mounts are done in the semi sneak though ..head a little higher..

This is my favorite "mount" (semi sneak, ears back)below ..and it doesnt hurt that he was a tank.. LOL ;)

Wow, guys, Great pix!

John, I absolutely love your work in the basement...Man I want a bear done like that someday. I have one in the freezer right now that I wish I had the money to do a full body mount with...I also have a bear rug..Its really cool you do your own Taxi-work..dang...

Arrowmaster, great looking bucks and cool stuff all over on that wall...

Really cool stuff guys..

Tony, nope he isnt crab clawed but his shed antler the year before instead of being webbed out like he is there was another point, so he was amain frame6x side the year before instead of a main frame 5... (shed below)

Will, I hope you get yourself a wall hanger this year.. its funny but once you have one or two around..you really want to get them some buddies to hang out with even more.... ;)

I am almost finished with my basement.. re-did it this summer ... I still have two bull elk to get hung up...and about 10 whitetail buck racks that I am putting on sliced pieces of tammarack knots..finding the big knots on firewood is the key..

I've mounted all of my bow kills except for 4...

RE: 43- Official Team Chaos Thread

I know you all probably read this last year, but it is still a good statistical refresher (Germ, this is
downright nerdy[8D]) courtesy of fshafly2. It shows that we don't all have to kill bruisers (like in these
pics you guys are posting). With a few bruisers and some decent production from most of the
team, victory is ours. The key for Assassins was that I think 9 out of 10 killed. With only the top 4
scores reported, Assassins was basically tied for 5th place. Also, only 109/410 contestants
reported kills last year and the average kill was right at 100" (99.7).
Food for thought if a basket comes by (at least for me :D:D:D, but not our sponsored hunters).

Might want to repost this link on the main page. Good info for new guys (like me) and expectations.

my wife surprised me over fathers day by repainting and cleaning up the basement...then she let me decorate it.. :D

She did curtains..and paint ...it was pretty dark down there before with dark green walls.. I think it turned out nice..

Two pix below..one going down the stairs..the other looking back up the stairs.. I have all the beams both sides lined with sheds I've found over the years.. one wall I didnt photo is not done.. I elk and deer racks left to put on the tamarack knots..before I hang them up..

I'm hunting with Shed this year....

But alas, my grasshoppers, it's still hunting because if I remember correctly, someone went without last contest. ;)

But I wouldn't wish that on anyone, I'd like to see all 430 entrants score and best score takes all. :D

Germ: Statistics and fun are not to be used in the same sentence, but I was curious how everybody
did last year, especially after looking at all the beastly pics posted by my team. :D

Troy, you chose your user name well! One day I will have to be happy with my little office/room
with a few bucks on the wall, maybe a bobcat chasing a wooduck, and then I will think about you
and John's damn taxidermy museums and cry over a beer. :D

Dang Troy, you got em lined up don't you. I like the beams with the sheds attached, very cool.

By the way, I don't have a sponsor. But if anyone wishes to donate to the cause. It will help to pay for my nonres IL tags. Those babies don't come cheap.:)

Keep the pics coming guys. I never get tired of seeing them. Gotta get my fix somehow until I can hunt again.

Hey Fraley, how did you get a picture of the buck I got tied up this year? I thought I had burned all of the copies. I think I like your newest one better by the way.

Jeff, I kinda like your idea of switching avatars as we start to score on the bucks.I think I remember the Bro's did that last year didn't they?

Troy, Haven't mounted a bear yet. But I guess it is like a big ol coon. I use Mckenzie forms too. The last couple I have done were Ben Mears forms. Here is my buck from last year I did.

I wont be surprise if Jeff doesnt kill the first buck this team enters..
Troy....Thanks.;) I appreciate the confidence.....and you know I'll be huntin hard. But...I have a job to do with the thinning of the does in the herd. I may miss some opportunities because of targeting does. That's how I've chosen to go about this, though. I still wouldn't bet against me ;).

Jeff, I kinda like your idea of switching avatars as we start to score on the bucks.I think I remember the Bro's did that last year didn't they?

Some of us did ;):D

What a team. I'm psyched, guys. I have <25 days until I'm in a tree. Strategy is.....la aevery nanny I see down until I get to 8....and take a good buck if it works out. After that (8 does....or a combined total of 8 between my son and I and a couple of friends)......I'm buck hunting. I can kill "A" buck.....and last year that was "OK". It's not, any more. I'm hunting 3 or 4 bucks. That's it.

I wish all of you luck. I'll do my best...and I will have fun doing it.

Isn't this a double negative..Which actually translates into He WILL be surprised if you kill the first buck?

I don't now if it was a compliment or a strategically grammatical slam!

Well, as you guessed, I was joking, but that is still some good stuff. Tell your resident artist thanks.

All the posters coming on here with their homo - we talk to much posts (I almost died laughing

Gary - I just got my predator stuff in. Went with the Cabela's silent weave w/scentlok. I actually ordered the jacket, figuring that I'd hate it and return it (I'm a real whiner about how my clothes fit - and I have monkey arms, so most jackets don't have long enough sleeves - or they're huge around the gut). Anyway, it all fit perfect. Really nice stuff - you won't be disappointed.

The pants run small though. I'm a 32, but the 34" waistis actually pretty snug (34" inseam). You're pretty short and chubby, so you might needa bigger size. You can just cut thebottom 12-15" off the legs to get the length right. They might even sell Predator capri pants - you might wanna call and check.

Seriously though - you guys have a pretty good team and will havea legit chance to win. Best luck.

Everyone on my team already thinks I'm a weirdo b/c I suggested that we call ourselves "The Rainbow Brites" or "Richard Simmons and the Pink Flamingos." LMAO I think they wanna trade me.
