Name's Jeff......I'm 42 yrs old and I live in Northwest NC with my wife of 3.5 yrs (and love of my life).....Lisa and our son, Mitch.

I've been hunting for over 30 yrs......but I've only been hunting whitetails since '05. Still learning.....but I go at it the only way I know how......wide open. Strictly a bowhunter (for big game) ......I was fortunate enough to take 5 whitetails, last season (scoring one for my team, last year).

I'll be around......but no interest in Captaining our team. Good luck to all.

Man I am a little disappointed, I thought we might have hit 100 posts by now.:)I see we still have a few to check in too. They don't know what fun they are missing out on.

I really want to do some more scouting and spotting in the bean fields. But it has been around 100* here all week and supposed to be that way this week too. That is too hot to sit out in a field.I also need to get my food plot in my backyard freshened up. That will have to wait too. It would just burn up anyway.[:@]

It's been hot as.........here to ! Season starts Sept 1 so I've been trying to avoid two of the three spots I have picked out. One I'm not woried about is along our private drive where the power lines come back to our house. They're used to seeing us there. And come through quite regularly.

This is my first year hunting. I know it's a long season (ends in Jan) but what if one of the smaller bucks presents a shot early on. Do I take the shot or wait for a chance at one of the bigger guys ? Gun season doesn't start til middle of Oct so there shouldn't be much pressure out here til then. I know there's no right or wrong answer just wondering what you guys would do.

If this is your first year, you shoot what ever you want to. Sometimes you don't get a second chance.Don't let this contest influence what you shoot or don't shoot. We will all support you whether or not you kill a buck.It is only for fun and maybe a T-shirt or some trinkets. Oh yeah, and it is all about the smack talk.

But hey, if you got a big one runninaround there, we wont complain if you shoot him for the contest.:D

Hey Flst, like the guys said above..shoot what makes you happy bud, thats what counts. Your place looks really nice in the photo! if we all shoot a buck we'd win this thing...big bucks are nice in this contest but its the consistent teams that do the best..

I'm not sure who asked but we have some guys here starting early! including me. August 30th for whitetail bucks here.

Germ the feeling is mutual and I vote you as captain of this rocketship!

Don't matter to me about the team name.....just had the one in my mind for a while (Mass Production).....and liked it when I was watching one of the DB videos when the hunter arrows a turkey and it flips over on the spot.

He looks at the camera and says......D.R.T.

I later found out what it meant......lol.

I also threw one out last year that we didn't use.....Dominant Bucks.

Best of luck guys - it appears you will be the team everyone will be watching for both post count and inches!... but there may be some correlation between those if memory serves correct.
