More land to hunt!!! I just got permission to hunt another 6 acres of land in our subdivision . There is a small creek that runs thru our subdivision, that the deer use to travel thru. I used to have a couple of lots along the creek I could hunt. But in the last 2 years both families moved and the new owners had small kids and didn't want me hunting there. So this morning I asked 2 other lot owners on the other side of the street if they minded if I bowhunt the creek behind their houses. Both of them said no problem have at it, we see deer back there all the time and they eat our flowers and shrubs. So now I haveanother spot to hunt less than 5 minutes from my house. It don't get much better than that.

 This was taken lastSept. out of my bedroom window.  This was taken this morning same window. My stand is in the fork of the treearound the other side. The food plot I planted last weekend is in front of the tree.  This the deers veiw looking back towards my house.  And a close up of my stand. I can hunt this setup with any wind that doesn't have South in it.  My crop is doing pretty good for 1 weeks growth. I water it every day. |

I know a guy who designed his bathroom on the second floor of his camp where he can sit
on the crapper and take a rifle shot out of his window. He's obviously a little too proud of this if I know about it. [8D] I wish I was close to where I hunt, I would get hunts in all the time before and after work. Early mornings would be so cool cause it wouldn't take away much from work or family time. I do have one spot about half an hour from work and was pretty pumped when they pushed back the end of daylight savings. Now we get late afternoons through the first week of November. |

I am worried about Troy. You don't think we scared him off do you? He said he was gonna check in and update us on his pronghorn hunt. I ain't heard squat. He better have a good excuse, cause I think we need to take away a few brownie points for not checking in.:D Germ, Have you decided if you are going down to KY for the opener? Ok I have been reading up on some of the last couple of pages. If you think I am not for real thats fine, I really don't care. I was in the midwest on one of our farms scouting and doing treestand placement, plus doing a segment on tree saftey for Hunter Safety System (which everyone should have, they really do save lives). I will be in Quebec sept 8-15 filming. Then on the 23 I will be make to the midwest for early archery straight to Ohio's opening. So if I don't see me responding all the time I am probably in the field and not on my computer. And yeah I have only 115 post in 5 years.... I don't like to force my opinions down people and a lot of the time it is 10 people saying the exact same thing. So why be the 11th? Well anyways I hope I don't come off as a complete ass and good luck hunting fellas!
