West Central MN there is pretty good deer around. My dad has 400acres in douglas county. My grandfather and uncle farm over 1200 acres in stevens county and my brother and I have permission on240 acres with 20 of it being an apple orchard.

Well, I am ready to go come Sept. 15 to get me a nice buck. The area I hunt in is an Earn-a-buck zone, but I shot a doe last year and it carries over to this year.

I am sighted in with Broadheads and all and ready to rock and roll. I put a new string and cables on a month ago and it is nice.

I am leaving for a bear hunt around 11:00 on Thursday and can start hunting on Saturday. I should be back around Sept. 7 or so. I can't wait. I am pretty much ready, just need to load the truck and trailer tonight.

good luck buck knife i want some pic when you get back

I'm ready to come Sep.29. What really stinks is that a Detriot Tigers pitcher bought a 160 in between where I hunt. So that is going to be hard to get then to come out of where he only hunts two days a year. From where I hunt I can see a feeder which makes me kinda mad because qdma says that if you dont feed deer year round that they will relie on that food source so much that they can die if it is not there. If he is paying some one to fill them then that's ok, but the good thing is that they don't really have any natural food source in that draw, so that helps a lot. I can shoot five does and one buck here, which I love it's great qdm,our buck to doe ratio is spectacular but not only are there alot of buck but they're big to I have never seen this big of bucks in my life and I have lived in georgia(sorry manuman) ohio, colordo, east side of kansas and now north centeral kansas

No need to apologize to me about Kansas having bigger deer---just invite me to join you after you tie one to a tree for me!I went for a walk yesterday, and found a really good place to hunt with my son on his first bow hunt. It is where I hunted last year on opening day--same general area--but I walked in there to show my son, even though I had said I was going to stay out---I wanted to give him an overview of the area and pick a tree with him to psych him up---and I found a scrape with fresh chew marks on the licking branch. Depending on wind direction, I picked out a couple o ftrees, and I will spend the eveninhg hunt with him, to see him take his first deer, hopefully. I know there is at least one buck in there that is decent and I saw 2 1 1/2 year olds opening day last year, either of which would make for a good first buck for him.
