Well I also like the Dirty Thirty, I will be shooting a 07' Ross Cardiac this year and love the thing. My season opens Sep. 22 and have seen really good bucks in my area but have none on the trail cam yet. I am so ready for season to start I am about sick.

Oct 6 in VA

Looks like our two MIAs haven't been on for awhile. Bluetick is a fawn and has been offline for two weeks and ccm352 is a regular oldtimer but hasn't been on since July. Probably they took Rob at his word that the teams would be drawn on the 1st of Sept so we may not hear from them for awhile. That happened to me last year so I made sure to check in early this year.

I haven't gotten a trail cam up this year yet. I was getting it prepped two nights ago but my father has to find his memory cards we gave him for Christmas (it's his camera and my SD card wouldn't read). He's going to position it behind my house on this plot of clover/orchard grass inside my woods.


That's where I saw the three shooters opening day last year. They wouldn't come close enough. All the four points and spikes (saw 11 bucks that day) went right under my stand but theshooters had to take a different path. LOL I guess that's why they are shooters. This year I'm going to try and get them going into the patch rather than coming out of it. I had a neighbor break up some more land out in my pasture that I'm going to plant in oats and maybe a patch of brassicas or turnips. More of a doe stand area and something to keep drawing deer into my area during the late season.

23 days and a wake up(Sept. 8th til Jan.1)

We start Oct. 1 here, but this year we run until Jan. 17, which is cool. Should be some good doe whacking late in the year.

My name is Tyson btw... Ill be hunting in Iowa. I dont think that those two pics are of the same year as the top one is a month earlier. Also there are several deer that will be MUCH bigger than the 8 pointer. I think the top pic is one of them. My spots this year look amazing! Grandpa put in some more strips of grass where they hang out and he just mowed it so the deer have been out there thick! Over Labor Day weekend Im putting the cam out in the grass patch. My season starts oct1 for bow...and 14th for muzzleloader... sorry thats prolly how Ill kill one of the bigguns but who knows they travel from farm to farm...

I like my power tec... it has helped me kill 3 deer last year... i have it set at 62 pounds and arrows fly. next year i might get a new bow but it will depend on the financial situation...
I might not be on until tomorrow night because today is my birthday and so i am going to hopefully have some type of fun.....
