Maybe a little, but if I were you, I'd buy a new bottle of scent away spray and use it all... once you get it hung and you are cool with it...as you are climbing down spray EVERYTHING down treestand, bow hook, steps (after you have cleared them), all around the base of the tree and that should eliminate alot of your scent.

Hey guys just filling you all in on my hunting! I have been out hunting saturday and today morning and evenings and haev only seen 5-6 deer! 1doe~~2buttonbucks~~2fawns~~and 1?

The weather has been great! Just a bad start for the season! I will try and be out there every evening this week if i get off of work on time, if not I will keep you guys updated saturday!!

I love the season opener but I CANT WAIT TIL NOVEMBER!!!!!!!!!! RUT!!!!!!!

At least your "in the game"...I am still playin water boy for another 15 days.

Is our entire team still intact? It only seems like 6 of us are keeping in touch...is this normal?

Awesome looking Display Case you made SoloCam....! ;)





Had to work saturday so I went out late saturday evening and sat in my blind til dark...didn't see a thing.[:@]


Went out sunday morning and sat in my climbing stand on the back side of the Ridge Field along the field edge and looking down at a Lake for about 4 hours.....nothing moving then either...![&:]

On the way back home I was walking past a mowed path close to the house when I noticed some thing laying in the grass..walked down to it and found a dead Fawn laying there.It still had a few spots on its back 1/4's.Talked with my neighbor that lives about 2 miles away from me and he found a very nice 8-Point Buck about 20 yards away from his pond and it was dead too,he found it last sunday and said it had just died that day.

Some of our other neighbors have found dead deer also,since we had the dry summer most are thinking the deer have drank stagnant water and have died from the disease from mosquito's.


Oh yeah....sat out in my blind again this evening (tuesday) and didn't see any deer moving...forgot my SD card to change out in my trail camera so I will hunt again wed. or thur. evening and change it out then to see if I have any deer pic's on it?

Yea, the cases was easy to amke really. I am thinking about making a few and trying to sell them....what do you guys think? Think I could sell a few for around $80.00 made out of Hickory or Oak?

Well this evening I got home pretty late so I decided to drive the tractor around the farm and see if any more deer were dead around by any of the ponds or dry creek beds?Didn't find any and on the way back I jumped up a Fawn in the Ridge Field...right in front of my Blind :eek:if I would have been in it hunting the Fawn would have been right there.I wouldn't have shot it but it would have been cool to have a deer in that close this early in the season..Oh yeah,I swapped out my SD card and will check it for deer pic's tomorrow when I'm in town. ;)

We've been having a late moon hanging over in the evenings so the deer should be moving really good.I checked my moon guide and it will be good hunting friday morning and evening and early saturday morning will be good also,hunt travel corridors of the transition zone which connects evening bedding and feeding areas with day time feeding and bedding area's.When the moon peaks in the early morning and late afternoon especially key on bottlenecks that funnel deer.

saw nothing and was killed by mosquitos the whole time. did see 3 bobcats, 2 adults and 1 baby. they came in down wind but i dont know if they have comprable noses to a deer. wish i had a camera

I went out hunting sunday morning and when I got in my ladder stand I looked down the Ridge Field and saw 2 large white dogs messing around in the back food plot,then a coyote came bouncing across the field and ran off into the woods,I didn't see any deer moving so I headed back home around 10:30 Am.I went out again this evening (monday) and we had just a little rain with clouds scattered all around and a nice bright Moon coming up in the west....still no deer in sight![&:][:@]

5 MORE DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Checked my trail cam Sunday, had 18 deer, 3 of me, 3 misses (35mm 24 exp film)AND the L.C.D counter keeps counting even though the film is gone....it read 70!!!!!!! They are hitting the spot where the Deer Cane was put out hard.

Opening Day is Monday...The high is supposed to be 75 with low's in the mid 50's.....Damn global warming!!!!

Did drive by a picked bean field Wed. night about 1/2 mile from where I hunt and seen about 140" out eating with a single doe.

I am hunting Monday and Tuesday even though the temps are going to be a bit high. Low's around 50-55 high's in the mid 70's and a less than favorable moon (to bright in the mornings)....but I am going anyway's.

Well tomorrow morning I will be sitting in my stand...sweating like crazy....swatting Eagle size mosquitos...straining myeyes to catch a glimpse of something moving in the thick cover...snapping my neck from side to side at every leaf turned over by the countless tree rats....My season is finally here!!!!!!!!!!!!
