Well I picked up the skull in a plastic bag and brought it home to take some pictures of it...hopefully I can identify what it is?When you look at it it has a some what long snout with a few small teeth up front and then those 2 teeth sticking out the side it looks like a feral hog?

We've been looking through some books at home and I'll try to pull up some skull pictures on the internet.

Oh yeah...when I went back out I circled around the back side of the farm and sat up in my ladder stand and a Doe walked out and browsed through the food plots.I was hoping to see a Buck! ;)

i just orderd some slick trick magnums today and i was wondering something. i want to shooot them a few times each but will they be dull after 3-4 shots each into a layered target? if so how should i charpen them for a touch up on the edge?

Hey Mike this is what I do.......
Put all three b-heads on three different arrows of course, but only shoot one b-head to practice with for the majority of your shots. Then shoot the other arrows once or twice to make sure they are on and they will still be plenty sharp to hunt with! I also got some slick trick mags and you will be highly impressed with how SHARP they are! Wow be careful puttin em together!

As far as sharpening them... you can easily buy new blades(which is probably the best thing to do) or you can try to sharpen them on a lansky style sharpener!!

But if you just shoot like I told ya you will only have one b-head that you will have to replace or sharpen blades on!!!! Good Luck!!

Ohhh and the slick trick I practice with probably took a good 50 shots into my yellow jacket target before I declared it dull!!!! You will see when you start shooting!!

I'm doing great. The season starts in 4 days here in MD. Weather is supposed to be a high of 72 with a chance of rain.Overnight in the mid 60's.

Bow's ready, I'm ready. I found an Oak stand to hunt and am hoping for the best.

How about yourself? Nice tree rats by the way.

It's on now!! Deer are everywhere ..... there is a cold nip in the air tonight ... a nice wind, rustling through the trees, rattling the leaves which are now starting to turn color ....that....smell, that brings the thoughts of sitting in a tree, waiting for Mr. Big, thinking to yourself, it doesn't get much better than this .....

It was 41 here this morning. Also seen the strangest thing...I work at a military base in Indiana, It's fenced of course, but lots of land and BIG deer everywhere, anyways, this morning I seen a coyote attacking a fawn, and the fawn looked alot younger than most of the fawns I have been seeing. The white spots on most are almost gone, but this one still had bright white spots on it. I am guessing it was a late Dec. early Jan conception?

Anyway, the cooler weather has my blood getting warmer.

Well the mail brought my new toy today, a '07 Guardian, I bought from a staff shooter here on HNI. Just got back from the bow shop and after $500 in accessories I'm ready
Got it grouping 3" and 35 yards. I was planing on useing by '05 alley as a backup but after shooting this bow I doubt that the alley will see much action. I'm pumped and ready for season. 15 more days :)

Dennis plan on a walleye trip this coming spring mid April and early May the walleye are spawning close to my marina.:) Limits come fast and then catch and release until your arm falls off :D :D

I hope to tag the 10 point I missed last year, He should go well past the 160 mark this year :)

Ya that is just a tad bit bigger than my boat. What is that 24'?

That is a very nice looking boat Walleye, I hope it all works out that we can get together. Let me know $$$$ wise on what you charge.

I have a question, I have a friend that shoots a Switchback with a wisker Bisquit, Gold Tip arrows with 4 inch vanesand Muzzy 3 blade 100gr. His 20,30, and 40 all shoot good but his 50 goes every which way...is his arrow plaining? Do you think if he got his arrows re-fletched with Blazer vanes, it would correct it?

Walleyefever 09-14-2007 03:04 PM

RE: 20-Official Team Lung Lancers Thread

It's a 30 foot sport craft. If we get together for a fun trip I would just ask for you to chip in some gas money. if your bringing family or friends and want to book a charter it's $450 for 4 to 6 people for the day of fishing. :)
Dennis, Has your friend tried to tune and spin test his arrows ? I would think that if they shot good at 20,30,and 40 they should also shoot well at 50. I shoot 4 inch feathers and have no trouble even 60 plus yards , not that I would take that shoot at a deer.;)
I do see here on the forums that Blazers shoot well, maybe they would help but I think it's more a broad head and fleching tuning problem and not the 4 inch vanes. The only problem I had with the 4 inch vanes and wisker bisquit was after 50 or more shots the vanes would wrinkle, but still shoot well.
Maybe someone else has more expertise in this area. :) :)

Great looking boat walleye. Preacher, I bet it is a torque issue showing up at that distance. If he is accurate at 20 30 AND 40 it can't change at 50.

My thoughts exactly, Chris. When I used to get out to those longer distances, I would tend to grip my bow harder and, sometimes my follow through would not happen, as I was so worried about hitting at that distance and not trusting my pin ....
