Agreed Ice...and to think he gets a multiplier because that's a beautiful Colombia Blacktail...his 86" Blacktail is equivelant to a 119" whitetail.

I certainly hope so Rob...
I have to go check out those 2 new spots this Sunday or Monday. They are both close by and will be carrying the same deer.
I have one other small 13 acre "pocket" that my buddy just bought with his new house. It abutts a bunch of state land that gets heavy hunting pressure. It does hold alot of deer though. The beavers have dammed it up alot and there is alot of swamp / wet land in their now. I will probably hang one more stand somewhere in there over the weekend as well. That will give 8 or so stand options this season.
I have high expectations this season!

Guy's, I'm completly excited about this hunting season. I have been trying to visit my hunting area about every day for the past week (not my stand location, not allowed to get out of the vehicle) There is deer coming out of the wood works. I am very shocked that there are this many deer in such a small area. I have been doing all of my scouting by satalite photo. I also found out that I have permission to hunt some land that hasn't been hunted by adults for 5 years. This new land is known as LOCK5, it is a refuge area and has only been used for youth hunting 2 weeks out of the year for that past 5 years. I looked in my 06, 07 book and it stated that this land was still being ussed for youth hunts. They recently came out with the 07,08 book witch allows me to hunt this property this year. I can't wait, I have 8 different stand locations and all of them are within 30 minutes of my house, I feel real good about getting a bruser theis year. I only hope that I'm not setting myself up for failure. It's real hard trying to pick a hunting spot based on photos but you have to do what you have to do. I have put in over countless hours this year trying to prepare for this season. It seems likea waist since there has been no real scouting, I hope it pays off though. I was able to talk to the warrden two days ago and I think he is going to let me tag along with him one day, maybe I find some trees to pput my stand in. Hope all is well guy's, later.
