Well i took a shot at a big and i mean big 7x7, by the looks of it he had about a 17" spread his G2's must have been about 12" high and he had 2 indentical droptines on each side of his antlers so in the end a buck of a life time, but the only problem was he was about 400yds away crossing a cutline. Then a few days ago i took a shot at a nice looking 4x4 but he was about 300yds uphill on a cutline and i took the hair off his belly then on the way out i seen a big buck not sure on specifics on him cause he was on a dead run about 150yds away through the trees so i wasnt able to get a shot off. Ive only got 4 more days left in the season and the big boys are really starting to move so wish me luck.

I got shut out guys... Only saw two bucks all season. Took a doe opening morning to clear myself of the Earn A Buck, but never saw a shooter. Saw a fork and a nice 8 that will probably be a shooter next year, about 16" - 17" wide, not real great tine length though. Was able to make it out for 7 of the 9 days, just didn't see as many deer as I have in years past. Idk if it's cause there aren't as many deer as the DNR thinks there is or what, but it was a pretty disappointing season. Not too upset though, after mysuccessful bow season....

Second firearms season just started here in Illinois. I have until sunday afternoon to bag one. Last year I got my wall mount the Friday of second season. However, I went out today and didn't one dang thing from the blind.
