Yep, Mark I am orignally from Huntington,WV and also a Marshall Alumni. I moved to Illinois in 03. I also miss WV very much. However, all of my family still lives there so I visit very often. I messaged Rob about you checking in and will let you know as soon as he gets back with me.

PC problems hopefully solved. I hope I'm not to late for my check in for team 40. Got a good chance of getting the big one this year. Looking forward to hearing back from you. Sorry about the delay.

What year(s) did you attend Marshall? Did you go to Huntington East High School? Nice to know that another Mountaineer is in our group. Do you ever go back and hunt in WV? Last time I did was Fall 2002. Mother sold the Farm in 2003 and broke my heart. 271 acres split in Kanawha and Roane County. Last buck shot in 2002 was 8 point with 21 inch spread, 140 class B&C. Only have my 9 point from Iowa in my Gallery right now.
Keep in touch and you can take the man out of WV, but you can't take the WV out of the man.

Mark

Well guys go figure. Our remaining teammate showed up today just after we requested an alt. from Rob. I PM'd Rob to let him know. Not sure what the deal is yet. Don't know if its to late for Mark since we have already invited the alt. I am waiting on a reply and will feel you guys in ASAP. If I would have been a little more patient we would now have all ten team members. Oh well I'm sure it will get worked out. I'll keep you updated. Everyone make sure to read the contest rules one last time and don't forget to take your cameras into the woods. good luck and talk at ya soon.

Mlinkrpt here. My name is Mark and I'm 46 years old currently living in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I still consider myself as a WV Mountaineer even though I have lived in Iowa now for almost 8 years. October 1st is the start of our Bow season and it runs to December 1st, then it restarts December 8th and runs to January 10th for either sex. January 11th to 21st is a Doe only in the lower 2 tier of counties. I would love to go back to WV and hunt and someday I will. I use a Bowtech Allegence VFT and Easton Carbon arrows for the life of me I can't remember their name. Happy Hunting!!![8D]

Well Mark glad you could make it. As you know I too am a fellow West Virginian. However, I can't refer to myself as a Mountaineer that would make it sound like I'm a WVU fan. I can't stand them.[:'(] Anyway, I graduated from marshall in 01 and I've been here in Jacksonville, IL for 3 years. I will be going back to wv to gun hunt over the Thanksgiving Holiday. Its pretty cool to have a fellow WVian on the team. Talk to you soon. Can't wait till Sunday.

My wife calls me Daniel Boone. I am a Thundering Herd also but since WV is the Mountain State that is why I say Mountaineer. I went to Glenville State also and They are Pioneers. I'm just a deer harvesting fool. Harvested 2 bucks and 7 does last season. 1 with the Bow and 8 with a pistol. I would love to start going back to WV at Thanksgiving, but need a new bud to hunt with because I was always the Host and those days are over at this time. Where in WV do you hunt actually(county, etc.)?
