Hey Guys,
Anyone had any luck yet? Been too warm up here in northern IL. Deer just not moving. Especially with the full moon. saw only two does in three days hunting.

The area is mostly residential. As far as I know there is only one other guy hunting the area. I would like to get a better photo of him with his head up so I can see his chest and the bases to better estimate his age. I still think I'll let him go one more year. This camera is 50 yards from my front door.

First deer with new bow. Been waiting for 10 months to shoot at something with a heart beat. She was only 8 yds from the stand and only went 20 yards.
Anybody else doing any good yet? I'll be hunting the 11 pointer that I posted in the trail cam photo of now that I have meat in the freezer. Sunday was a strange day up here. I had shots at 20 different deer in a matter of 2 1/2 hours in the morning. Mostly does with yearlings. I did hear a buck grunt a couple of times but I couldn't answer him because I had a doe bedded right underneath me. Then in the evening I saw absolutly nothing. Go figure. Anyone else doing any good? Lets hear from you.

I have had some pretty horrible weather lately great for turkey hunting, but not for deer. I will be in my stand all weekend. Cold front is blowing through right now. Maybe some more rain tonight which should make thing ideal for friday. I have seen plenty of bucks this year, but just not the size I am looking for. I too am hunting a couple of specific deer, large deer to be exact. I am still uindecideed if I am going to eat turkey tag sandwhich this fall or not. I will pray for rain at least til' 9 am in the morning on friday that way I will bring the boom stick and the bow. I will leave my bow in the truck and sat over a cut corn field and wait for them to make an apperance. I saw 25 of them Thursday, but I could not close the gap with my bow. Good luck guys, be safe.

Well,my hand is healing nicely and I've been able to get out a few times.Saw some nice bucks earlier(before hand surgery) and since then, only some small bucks.I've killed three does in the last week and a half.So the freezer is full and prime time is just around the corner.Things are looking up....Bob
