Last night I was walking though my corn field and it looks like the combine header jammed upon one of the rowsbecause there was a corn ear about every 5 feet. So even though we lost some bushelage at least the deer, quailand pheasantswill have plenty to eatfor the winter. Before it was cut last week, the deer had a highway ina low spot about five feet wide where they knocked all the corn down. I just wish the farmer that we lease it to would have planted the corn next to the river bottomand the beans on the top. Oh well, I think I can still hunt it about the same.

KS-
So your corn is already coming down. That is good. I'm sure the first few weeks of our season( Oct 1)there will be standing corn. I like it better when they plant beans!

Well guys...hold down the fort for me. I'm heading out Thursday evening and won't be on for a couple of days. Gonna give the Enigma the once over! Hopefully I'll have good news! Good luck to all.

Actaully Greg I don't want to disclose the truth about Charles' Elk hunting abilities as his head may get a little too big. He has enough trouble walking on that gimp leg as it is--with a heavier head he might not make it out of truck.
