I haven't been on in a while, partly because i haven't had much to report. I've been out 3-4 times a week and have yet to see a deer in the tree. I've moved my stand to various locations that show lots of sign of deer and yet haven't seen a thing. I was out until noon yesterday and didn't even see a squirrel. frustrated doesn't even begin to explain how i feel. Season ends on saturday, so friday and saturday i'll be out. Hope others are having better luck then me.

I have hunted the last 7 days straight. I sat all day during the week days and saw plenty of bucks every day. I saw 8 different bucks on Tuesday which was nice. Just wasn't able to close the deal. I was able to get a look at a real nice buck last Thursday and I have been holding out for him. I still have a little time before rifle season starts here. I also have late season which is my favorite time to hunt. I will be taking the recurve out on saturday and try to harvest my first deer with it. I have been shooting it for about 2 years and I think it is time to take it out. Wel good luck to all.

Well I went out this morning behind the house and saw this little guy cruising thru so I took his pic. I believe he is a 6 point.Took off work to celebrate my wifes birthday in the hospital today. She is feeling better. Done with chemo now she has to let her bone marrow grow back and see if it is Lukemia free. If Lukemia is still there she does chemo again and gets a bone marrow transplant. Hoping for the best.

We need more bucks guys.
Hey Campo, you still haven't entered your buck in the contest. It has to be your 1st buck. It is in the rules. You cannot enter a bigger one if you get one.

As for me, I've been out the past 5 days and haven't had much luck. Expecially the past 3 days. Our weather has been unseasonably warm. Almost into the mid 60's. Tomorrow is the last day of the archery season and I'll be back out there. If not I've got a couple weeks off until rifle season starts. Though i still hunt with my bow during rifle season.

Went out doe huntin in IL this morning and look who walked by. How do they Know I already used my buck tag. Story in bowhunting forum.
