Heading out to Mississippi River Bottoms (Iowa) to put out a ladder stand (new spot). Very thick but last year was loaded with scrapes & rubs (found after season was over) & difficult to get into.
Opener is Oct. 1st.

ahunter55, sounds like a great spot. Now you'll just have to figure how to get the brute you're after out! Good luck.

I'm fine with the face on the deer and the pic. I think it looks great. Was just making a suggestion and trying to get some conversation going to see if there were any other ideas to add to the original pic. Speak up guys or forever hold your peace!:D

Hey guys...been having to work rather than hunt.A couple of guys have been out on the farm, plenty of deer but no shooters. We're holding for 140+ this early in the year, just waiting patiently. I'm actually going out of the country for almost two weeks..ten year wedding anniversary on the 14th. I'm back on the 20th and willbe back in the woods on the 23rd. I'm hoping that it will be calm here and some big deer may move back in.

I'm fine with whatever logo you guys want. Anybody have an opening weekend in teh next few weeks. I'll tell you, it's abig relief to know you can actually get out there. Best of luck to anyone out there hunting and I'll see you all when I get back.

Opening day tomorrow...WOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO. Heading out early AM so I have plenty of time to set up my climber near and Oak ridge. Hopefully see some hungry critters feeding on the acorns here in the early season.

Opening day in 1 week here. Already have 5 ladder stands out on my friend's property. Temps are dropping so they should be moving pretty well.

Opening day is Saturday after this Saturday. Temps are in the 60s here now. Game on!

Chucker34-since this is my 50th year of Bowhunting I have plenty of young sons, son-in-laws that are always EAGER to drag my BRUTE out. They need that experience-not me. Hell, in May they lined up to get my 150# hog out of the timber (in Oklahoma). One on each leg-I could hardly keep up just following they move so fast. Being old has some(not many)advantages.

good luck to everyone who is able to go out right now, unfortunately PA's season doesnt open up till sept. 30th:(. So I gotta wait a couple more weeks till I get to go out.
