Spent a very pleasant afternoon and evening with Bob at his lease in Brown County. He was gracious enough to allow me to hunt one of his stands and I had a great afternoon.

Saw 18 deer including 1 shooter, 3 two year olds and a coule yearlings. The rest were does and fawns. I passed up a risky 35 yard shot at the mature buck.

3/5 hunters killed does last night so we were busy retrieving deer until well after dark. Bob killed a hog-fat doe that probably weighed 170 pounds live. He and I had great fundragging her out of the ditchwhere she lay.

Bob and guys in camp were quite impressed by Lady Forge's buck. He asked me to let you know it. He'll be back home in about a week and make his own comments.

Gotta say he has a great lease! We discussed his business and pricing and I don't think a person could go wrong by hunting with him. (Assuming you are seeking a semi-guided hunt)

Just wanted to check in and convey Bob's message.

Good luck all!

TJF, thanks for the complement on the buck. That is my best ever buck and am loving every minute of it.
Only one thing I am not liking is, I have no more buck tags, so I am done for the year. I guess thats not a bad thing though.
Good luck to you and your team.

Well, back from Brown County Il. We had agreat hunt but my buck is still out there passing on his genes to future generations. I've still got one I'm after here in PA and might get a few more days inout in Il.

Great buck Lady Forge!!

Arnie (LLBUX) was good enough to keep me informed while I was in Illinois and had no net access. We got to hunt together for an evening and had a great time.

Thanks to Lady Forge and KSHunter we have the two best bucks in the contest. Congrats again to both of you!! I guess I'd better get off my duff and make a contribution to the cause

Glad you are back Bob!

Too bad you missed out on the big Illinois bucks. I'll be gracious enough to go back over to your lease and keep the deerstands warm if you like.

Welcome back!

Welcome back Bob. Good to see you back on posting.

Come Sunday, the army of orange goes home. They've pounded my area hard and got a few of the big boys but not all of them. Things should get back to decent bowhunting soon. I plan on hitting it harder then ever and think the best of bowhunting for the yearis going to happenfairly soon. Got a spot onthe wall pick out for one or possibly two ofour bad boys to call home. The bucks have had their fun, now it is my turn to end it.

Tim
