Hello again everyone. We have had a cold front move in on Sunday night, and the deer activity has really picked up. I saw 20 some deer in less than an hour last night. Nothing of any great size, but it was nice to see them milling around. I got up this morning and there were 5 does moving through the field across from my house. This weather really gets a guy ready for the fall. Good luck everyone, and good shooting.

ARGHHH

The anticipation is killing mewith less than two weeks to before opening day.
All I can think about is OPEN , OPEN , OPEN it just can't get here fast enough.
I wanna go out and check out my stands but I don't want to spook the deer in my area.
Now that theweather is getting more like fall its even harder to stay inside.

rd i here ya. oct 1 is only 11 days away by my counting. and thats 11 too many. im thinkning it falls on a sunday so church may have to be passed this once.:D.. i have found i keep spending money on things(i dont really need)to subside my anxiousness for a couple of hours. went out today and bought two more stands( like i dont have enough). these are buddy stands somy girl feels more confortable when standing up to shoot her bow. last week it was a new set of cables and strings on my bow and then spent all day tuning it up.

Well I'll be slipping out of work a little early tomorrow for an evening hunt in NC. The weather here in VA/NC is still a bit warm but it has been cooling off lately. Witha little cold air coming down from the north today and tomorrow we are expecting temps to get down into the low 50's possibly upper 40's for the lows. So with the temp dropping, themoon being so dark, and just a slight north wind 0-5mph things are looking pretty good for some deer activity tomorow evening, I hope. Maybe a fat old doe will come by or something withsome bonewould be nice too, I'm just happy as it will be my first hunt of the season andNC opened on theSept. 9th. I have had so much going onthat I just haven't been able to slip away. Luckily the weather and bugs have been so bad it hasn't bothered me toomuch, until now. So I got the green light from the old lady and it is GAME ON!!
