Holliday I know the feeling I was up Rob/Pa's house doing alittle shooting and we were like two kids in a candy store with the weather dropping and bows in our hands laughing and getting excited like it was Christmas morning. The 30th cant come soon enough.

ORIGINAL: NEW61375 Well I'll be slipping out of work a little early tomorrow for an evening hunt in NC. The weather here in VA/NC is still a bit warm but it has been cooling off lately. Witha little cold air coming down from the north today and tomorrow we are expecting temps to get down into the low 50's possibly upper 40's for the lows. So with the temp dropping, themoon being so dark, and just a slight north wind 0-5mph things are looking pretty good for some deer activity tomorow evening, I hope. Maybe a fat old doe will come by or something withsome bonewould be nice too, I'm just happy as it will be my first hunt of the season andNC opened on theSept. 9th. I have had so much going onthat I just haven't been able to slip away. Luckily the weather and bugs have been so bad it hasn't bothered me toomuch, until now. So I got the green light from the old lady and it is GAME ON!! Note to self......SELF, quit breeding in January and February!! I mean just because it's cold out, can't you find something else to do? |

woke up to a nice scene this morning...looked out the back porch and saw about 25 turkeys in the back pasture.....its going to be a good day!

Sounds great Q2, I am looking forward to their arrival and the arrival of Oct 1st....it just can't get here fast enough. Hope everyone is geared up and ready to go. I am going to my place this weekend to check cameras, check food plots, and fill feeders. If I remember, I will take a few pics of my plots and setups and share them with you all. Hopefully, I have big boy on game cam, I will update next week when I get back. Have a great weekend.
