Scott

The camcorder was great for scouting. When they come up with one that has a 64 optical zoom then we will be set for our longe range scouting. I was happy with the JVC for getting started videoing. While it has awind noise feature... it still was pretty bad, especially shooting into the wind. I need to cover up the mic with foam or something. Otherwise it did the job and I am glad we got it.

I haven't tried videoing any of our hunts. All our hunting is on the ground here with the few trees. You are either in really thick stuff and the deer are on top of youor really thin stuff that you hardly have enough to hide in and the deer are on top of you. There is just no way ofone of us canvideofor the otherguy. Tough not to get busted with one, let alone two people. I don't see it working for us at all. Once one of us gets a buck, then we might play around with it a bit while the other hunts. The guy videoing will have to set up a little ways from the hunter.

Best of luck to you and your team.

Tim

I'm gone for the weekend also, taking a chocolate lab puppy on his 1st Canada goose hunt, I don't expect any retrieves because he's still too small, but He'll learn alot from my buddies black lab. Bear is also open up here, so if the morning hunt is slow I may throw a slug in the gun and sit in a tree for a while.

I have so many tree steps in I should have shares in Ameristep. Most of the stands sitesare looking pretty goodbut a few that I thought were great last year are showing pretty slim sign.I peg the tree but don't hang the stand quite yet so it'snot to big of a deal torelocate them. I would like to hang a couple but the Forest Fairieshave stolen to many.
