How many full days do you guys estimate you will hunt this year. If you hunt two afternoons, that counts as a day. I plan on getting in about 10-12 or so days during bow season. I am going to use the weekends during early season and then take my vacation in November.
I have a stand hanging trip planned this weekend and we will trim our shooting lanes at our existing stands. just over a month and im going to be lost for a while.

Food plot got another 3-4" of rain this weekend, and itis looking real good. With all of the rain natural forage is doing real well so my plot isn't getting hammered yet, which is good since peanuts will probably get dug early this year, probably less than a month from now. Once they get dug everything changes. I will only go into the woods one more time before season starts, that spot is ready.
I got a trailcam up on the 300 acres last night on the way over to my dove hunting place that is a couple miles away from the lease. Still have a fair amount to do out there since the rest of my family doesn't bowhunt, and they "have plenty of time" before rifle season starts in November. This the wettest early fall I can remember around here, the forage is just unbelievable. Looks like we will have a very good crop of shinoak acorns also. Too bad it was drought conditions for most of the antler growing season. All in all though, things are looking pretty positive, 24 days untill season opens.

Having any luck?
Having any luck?
I was hoping he was there, he was about 40 yards away when he decided to vacate the point I was situated on straight down hill away from my location.
Later in the day me and my son hunted a different parcel of land with 140 acres of soy bean. I came upon a stand of burr oaks and buckeyes along side the beans when a 140 buck slid in behind me. I probably would have passed as he never offered me the shot as he jumped into the soy bean...
The evening huntmy son walked upon a high basket buck and doe but couldn't shoot. Then a doe walked straight at us in a wooded creek finger as I knocked an arrow, junior finally decided to let one fly to no avail.
The temperature has been great here in Kentucky, mid 50's at night to the mid 70's during the day...
