But I'm going to Maine next Sat. the season opens there a week from Monday I keep my fingers crossed that I can be as lucky with my 30-06 as I was with my bow. Well good luck shoot straight. Mike

i have seen 3 NICE bucks in the past 2weekends of bow hunting. I didnt get a shot because they didnt wanna move in from 80 yards out so come saturday the 5th im gonna DROP one of them. I counted a 10 point for sure, and 2 6pointers. Hope to do something for the team =)

So.....
I was planning on hunting an all day Sunday hunt.... But the wife fell down the stairs on Sturday Night and ended up with broken foot and a very sore back.....
GOOD THING SHE AIN'T NO COW, CAUSE I WOULD HAVE HAD TO SHOOT HER.......

Anyways she is bedridden,but I am taking very good care of her (Haven't Traded Her In Yet....
)
Hopefully she'll be well enough by the end of the week so I can hunt the weekend.....

Well back from Maine and sorry to say didn't shoot anything with horns this trip.I did score on a button buck. Sure are big up there the button was 100 lbs. I don't know where you are from if thats big but for a button buck thats big to me. Going bow hunting this week here at home and then off to Ct. on Tues the opener there is Wed. and I am siked for that last year I shot a big old buck with a 28 in spread. And I'v been very lucky I have taken a buck every year since I have been hunting there. ( Hope I didn't just jinks myself) Then the week after Thanksgivivng the gun season opens here. So got a lot to look forward to. By the way they are calling for team Capt on another thread so we need to nominate one. If no one else wants it I will volunteer but can be talked out of it just as easy but we do need to get it done. good luck MIke
