I have all my gear ready but since I bowhunt hogs/Exotics several times a year it is usually always READY.
Setting up my 2 girls (15 & 30) for their 1st year of bowhunting.
They can tear my Deer Target up pretty good through 25 yards with their Rocky Mountain broadheads. But then, we all know what can happen when it becomes ALIVE. Oct. 1st for us & I will be filming them, son & brother plus doing my own. Looks to be an enjoyable year no matter what.
Good Luck fellas.

Just waiting for some rain to come so I can get them oats in the ground. I'm thinking about going ahead and planting them now??? Dunno, I'm undecided. Emailed buck forage oats and they say the best time for my area to plant is Sept 1 - 25. The ground isready?
Only got 2 good pics from my camera. A little 8pt and a jake. The dang camera(Camtrakker)was taking pics of nothing, like 23 pics. [:@] Thinking about that Cuddeback now!!! It was a waste of $8 to get developed.
Season is still a couple of weeks away...Oct 15th. For now, just hanging stands and practicing.
Gook luck to all..................of Team 25 Wide!!!!

I'm waiting for rain on my plot also. We haven't had a drop in over 2 weeks! This summer has been dry for sure. But at least the weather here lately has been real nice. Low 50's in the morning, low 80's in the days.ahunter...good luck with the kids! That sounds like alot of fun. I have a 7yr old son. He goes with me, but not bowhunting. Right now he's just too fidgety. He enjoys it during muzzleloader and rifle though. I will probably take my 4yr old daughter out this fall also. She "says" she wants to go. We'll see[8D]
I'm going to try and get the rest of my stands hung tomorrow. Hopefully

Got out and did a little scouting today and found some real beat down trails!!! Will be great for the rut. Also talked to the neighbor who just bought 30 acres andour families old farm from my elders to see if I could hunt the property still but of course,he has someone who has hunted his land that wants to hunt over there now. It didn't bother me too much because I have a 40 that I hunt on the north of him and another 90 on the south side of him both with plenty of spots to hang a stand. He did tell me that he has been seeing a lot of bucks out there including a fork that is about 15-16" wide, hope to get a picture of him. He also mentioned a few six's, eights and a particular ten that I want, sure hope to see him make a mistake. With the lack of water this year I am going to move down by the creek that runs through the property and find me a good crossing, the swamp is so dry they have to use the creek at some point in the day. I smell ambush!!! I plan on getting out on Wednesday and do a little more scouting around the creek bottom and get a stand set up in there. Oh this is going to be a fun year!!!!!!

Got my oats in last evening. We have a slim chance of thunderstorms this evening and tonight. I'll get pics soon. Does anyone know the rain dance? LOL
