Saw four buck tonight, a spike came out first followed by a 3 and then a 4....the 8 pt showed once again and keeps making me think....and several doe all evening.

Rob/PA you better take that 8 point. I have always heard you should never pass on an animal on the first day that you wouldn't pass on the last day.

Well team I'm off to a rough start the day before the ohio opener i got crushed and burnt in a 360 degree press at work. So i have 4 broken ribs a broken collar bone, punctured lung and 3rd degree burns all over my chest back and arms. Yesterday i couldnt take it any more and called up mybuddy we mounted a cross bow on a video camera tripod.I practiced shooting left handed a few times thenwe headed for the woods. I had him build me a blind behind my house on a good deer crossing and carry all my equipment back in the woods. We got set upabout 5pm and by 6pmI drew blood on a nice mature doe. she went about 30 yards Imgonna be eating some jerkeytonight. I hunt PA and WV to but i dont know if im gonna be able to shoot my compound before seasons over.If not i will have plenty of time to geta high scoring buck in ohio.Good luckhunting

D@mn, you area tough son of a buck to be out deer hunting after all that!! You aren't on my team either but I hope you nail a hog. Talk about dedication to hunting!! Best wishes on a speedy recovery.

Last night....Tuesday evening....saw 5 buck. First was a 6pt..followed by a 3 pt..several minutes later the 4pt came back out and so did the 6pt and then followed by the 8pt for the 4th time....but...he's 2.5 years old and I know why I'm hesitant on this buck...his older brother came out...a bigger 8pt with more mass, slightly longer main beam and times...definately a 3.5 year old and one I won't hesitate on....Tonight, I'm going to set up in a ground blind where they've been out 4 consecutive hunts now...here's hopin.
