Yes, .440 PRB and .015 patchs. Im actually using .50cal patchs due to me not having any of the 45's. Maybe it likes the tight patch? So far its loving 50 grains rs for 100 yard shots and still shooting 2" high. But out of all the rifles i own and have owned in the past, this little 45 is by far the most accurate ive shot. I turned my sight around just to make all the guys happy

. It gets fuzzy now and then but once im on target i hold it as still as possible, blink hard a few times to clear up the eyes and its clear for a few seconds. All i need now is more coats of BLSO and a new nipple and its ready. I shot over 20 rounds through it today with zero swabbing and the real kicker, all the loads were as easy to load as the first was. But it was a heck of a fun day to shoot. I think once i switch to the 225 powerbelts, the bullet wont be drifting off to the right. At 50 yards you could shoot aragged one hole, 3 shot pattern and they are all about 1" high and dead center.
You'll get the hang of the open sights, ive been shooting them since i was a kid so im pretty much good with them and feel comfortable with using them. But the x-150 is getting a reddot truglow scope very soon. My bro in law will more than likely want to use it for yotes and possibly new mexico ML deer. I just have to teach him to stop doing the hollywood, pound on the bullet with the ramrod crap.
Just take your time with the open sights and you'll get the hang of it.
You're also more than welcome to try my x-150 if you'd ever like to give it a go.
OOps, also forgot to mention that i was using the 4 wheeler seat BUT! But i grabbed a bigbag ofpinto beans and used it for a rest lmao! You'd be suprised at how well it worked. I couldnt even see my barrel bobbing.
