Default RE: best broadhead for tom turkey?

pepperboy, good luck with the bow.
have you got a ground blind? a blind is almost a must when
turkey huntin with a bow. or they sure help out anyway.
decoys are also essential.
I took a jake with a muzzy 100 gr 1 1/8th" cut.
I'm goin to a 3 blade, 100 gr with a 1 1/2" cut for turkey this spring. my turkey bow is a golden eagle splitfire 36 set on 65 lbs
and I'm shootin beman ICS 400'rds 28 1/2" long. with my 8" braceheight I'm only shootin 245 fps, which puts my kenetic energy at about 49 ft lbs. I think that will work great, and with that big of a cut on my broadhead, I don't think I'll have to worry about a pass through. that's what I'm hopin far anyway.

I really think mechanicals with at least a 1 1/2" cut 2" even better
would be the way to go on turkeys.

anyway, good luck, and i hope you get to stick one. there's nothin
like it!<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
