Back from the turkey trap and relocation that took place in Deer Park. Managed to net 23 turkeys (6 toms and one bearded hen). All of the birds were taken and released in the Okanagon county. More might have been netted had it not been for a deer that started wandering into the net zone. When those rockets went off, that deer turn tailed and ran, with the net falling down right behind it. The 23 turkeys flushed like a covey of quail or grouse, right into the net that was falling over them. What an experience! I would recomend getting in on this kind of experience - WDFW said w/out the NWTF volunteers, there is no way to possibly do it (cost too much money and resources).
