Default RE: Land in Maryland?

One day hunting is going to be a rich mans sport... Mark my words!!!!
Mr. Longbeard

Alot of truth to that.

Speaking only of E.Shore of Maryland.I worked on E.Shore for over 20 yrs.Superb hunting and fishing!

I was fortunate enough to hunt some small farms for Zip! I knew alot of very large land owners but never able to get onto a really Big farm for anything I could afford.5-10-20K for a season is a drop in the bucket over there.

What drives up the price of hunting ground is the Deep Pockets in D.C.,Baltimore,Philly etc...Guys that will spend whatever it takes to hunt for a season or just 1 day. These guys will tip a guide/owner more than I spend in one year for my little 200 acres in Delaware.I've heard of guys that give owner/guide new gun for a 1 day goose hunt!!

The average Joe Smo can't compete with that.

Having said that - If all that keeps farmers/land owners from selling off to a developer - So be It.There are alot of land owners who as we speak are buckling to the offers of developers.

Those guys truly have the Deeeep Pockets and would build over there mothers grave for the allmighty $$$

Anyway - e4 good luck finding some ground to hunt.If you know anybody on E.Shore talk to them.Where theres a will there is a way
