Yes/No. Call experts like the techies at Sierra....toll free. Don't ask a question on a forum like this filled with novice reloaders without a clue. Using mag primers in a 270 or '06 is stupid. Be professional. Regards, Rick.
Man, seriously what is your problem? Thats the second post that i've seen you slam the members of this forum by calling them novice reloaders without a clue. I would much rather rely on an answer I receive in this forum than one I get from the help lines because I know (some) of these people are honest and are not trying to sell me the next newest and greatest thing. Instead of making yourself look like an *** why dont you just keep quiet.
My "problem is" that I have seen dangerous posts on this forum with folks that don't have a clue......Don't tell me to stop posting when there is a safety issue involved. Nosler, Sierra and others have technictions that have all the equipment/tools to measure and recommend safe reloads for rifles and have an 800 number. If you would rather trust in the novice information on this forum....then go for it. It's a free country and you can do whatever you want. The point is, there are professionals out there who do this every day......every day! I'm not "slamming" anyone on this forum....that is wrong to say. When I see something that is wrong/questionable. I post. I have no adgenda here just about 50 years of experience......yes, 50 years. You can take rational advice on reloading or go to the reloaders nest and hurt yourself. I stand by my original post...Magnum primers in a '06/270 are not smart. They can cause excessive chamber pressures that could cause bodily harm. There is no manual in the world that recommends a Magnum primer in one of these calibers......If you can show me one, I will issue an immediate apology. Regards, Rick.
Go to Speer No 13 Page 299, magnum primers recommend with H414 and H380. Then go to page 282, for 308win, CCI mag primers used with AA2460, H414, 760, and even BL-C 2.
