The 40 Smth and Wesson is a great backup cartridge, and you'rea guy with a really bad temper. He didn't do anything other than state his opnion. So why don't you settle down a little bit.

If I'm not mistaken, you aren't even old enough to purchase a firearm, so how would you know what was a good gun to reccomend? Do you have lots of pistol experience??

Back to the original post now. I would reccomend a Springfield XD in 45ACP as a minimum gun.

I am also not a fan of the Glocks because of the grip angle on them.

I have a 40SW, and I'm not so sure I'd want that gun in my hands if I had a pissed off bear charging me....
