Making a string isn't hard, but it can be hard to get good instructions, plus it can be hard to follow with just pictures and writing.

Personally, I don't see any benefits to a 3 bundle, other than using 3 colors. Use proper back twist and you will have a 2 bundle just as round as a 3.

I have no idea how many strings I've made over the years--several thousand for sure. As with anything else, it gets easier with practice.
