Default RE: new to roundballs(loading)

i use ball blocks. get a drill bit to match the caliber and drill holes in a block. center the patches over the hole and push a ball into the hole. works very well. i also carry premeasured charges in rubber tubes. pull the cap off, dump the charge and grab the block and send it down the bore..prime and fire..i read somewhere that you cant safely load and fire a flintlock in under a minute...i dont remember where i read that but i betcha im well under a minute without fumbling or rushing. heck give me a full minute and ill swab the bore and whipe off the flint and frizzen face!

i dont know too many guys that carry ball blocks...but i love them..
