Ruin meat? I've heard this question many times. What mear is really ruined when the shot is properly placed into the heart or lungs? I've used 308's, 300wthby's,270's ,30-06 & 7mm mag and never ruined meat.
If you worry about ruining meat I would suggest not taking a shoulder shot.
