I love bird hunting and with a nice dog or 2 to hunt with and what a blast it is. Here we do not have any quail to speak of. The weather up this way is to harsh on them. Running the dogs threw the woods trying to locate a few ruffed grouse is a lot of fun, not knowing where or when they will lock-up and point. Also woodcock hunting normally finding them in the alder swails but, it is the same thing sort of thinglike finding a needle in a haystack. Using dogs sure makes it alot more fun. I hunt a few reserves for training purposes and a few pheasants that I have released for training as well. Currently trying tointroducesome pheasants to a 86 mile field and hopefully have some great success in a few more years. Wish me some luck on this one.
