Not too much farm land around here, just a lot of wilderness and when theres about a couple feet of snow on the ground and we fire the chain saw up to buck up firewood and take a break the deer are feeding on it. The blow downs with the moss (witches hair) is what the deer are attracted too along with fresh firshoots and fireing up a chain saw around here is like ringing a dinner bell. Fall down some trees during the rut and attract the does and the big boys don't care if you have a Mack truck. I've seen some nice bucks in areas where equiptment was still being used.
This is not always the case as the time of year and food source has a lot to do with it.
