I usally go with friends and help call for them , love to call birds for other people . But when given the chance i go alone , and test my skills to make sure im staying in tune with my experience , i say try it alone and give it a shot that is the best way to learn . best advise i can give you is pay attention to your surroundings the set up is everything and be patient good luck buddy
