Default RE: Cleaning Really Nasty Castiron

Cast iron cookware is the best way to go.
I'm still cooking on the castiron my parents used before i was born. My father in comeing up on 94 and he can't remember how old he was when he got it. I have several outdoor and indoor dutch ovens and numerous fry pans and other pieces.

There's no question it great stuff to cook on, but that Plasmaic kicks it's ass in many area's... I've been cooking on mine for about two years now and i've made about everything in it that i would in castiron and more..

It won't rust orwarp, it holds the heat and cooks evenly... You can use it in the oven and i haven't found anything that sticks in it. You can throw a handfull of sugar in it and when it melts pour it out. You can burn milk in it and wipe it out with a paper towell. You can cut raw potatoes in it, and they will not stick, even without oil of any kind...

It's good stuff, but i do cook on my castiron a lot too... And no you shouldn't use soap in castiron, but you can in the Plasmaic.
