I was talking to a guy in the local gander mountain that works the gun section. he was saying to stay away from the current M 70's on the shelf due to disgruntled employees and then proceeded to show me why. There are alot of lousy guns on the shelf by winchester right now and I am starting to believe his statements. I can see how the employees just pushed these rifles out the door with no quality control in check. I still think that 243 is a sweet gun but he has me scared now
