I would have to agree w/ most. I would probably keep the BD for those days w/a guest hunters or give it to a boy scout or a deserving young hunter. The ONLY difference between the Omega and the BD is you get a longer barrel w/o the powder burn on the scope, nosafety,and aneasier rifle to clean. I have the 24" TC Thunderhawk and just gave my first Omega to my new son in law. Most likely my son will get the lam OmegaI now own.Think I would buy the X7 just because I like the shorter barrels on the X7 but you get a rifle w/ the same overall length of a rifle like the Thunderhawk w/ those great features of straight bore all the way..
