but a good light weight shotgun would be IMHO a browning silver or a benelli superblack eagle.....neither of which are close to $400 tho, the rem 1100's i wouldnt recommend since they only handle some shell sizes......the 11-87 however will handle a better variety, great gun but not the lightest. Same for brownings A5, probably my favorite shotgun ever (IMHO there is no semi auto made made as nicely. and it functions perfectly) but they are heavy pigs.
