I think you're getting the feel of how it actually is from the above answers... there may be a few somewhere, but not very many and they're highly localized and not spread out. I've checked into hunting them around Lake Wapappello (about an hour from me), but it just didn't seem like it'd be worth my time... more like hunting a needle in a haystack kind of thing.
