The last 3 shots I've taken on animals, 22 yards and close, all three very good shot selections, have ended in wounded deer not recovered.
How are those 3 shots, that ended in wounded and lost deer, BETTER shots than this one that ended in a dead deer ?
They aren't better shots if YOU missed making a clean kill. If you've made the last 3 of your shots that close and only wounded the animal with no recovery then they weren't better shots. They were merely better presentations. From what I now know...your shots suck.
You need to learn the difference between a good shot, and a good presentation. They are two totally different things.
