RE: PA Game Lands
Mossy, I hunt gamelands and National Forest all through the early archery season. I seem to be quite successful in the areas that others don't want to go to like thick grapevine tangles and briar patches. Some of the best hunting is near the parking areas that others overlook. Some other great hunting is farther in where nobody wants to walk to. I've had success in NW PA for years on public land and I owe it mostly to hard work....and a little luck!
I haven't had too many problems with overcrowding in archery, but rifle season is rediculous here. If you're in the NW PA area and want to see some of the places I hunt I'd be happy to take you....I've got more stand sites than most people have socks, so I'm not afraid to point someone in the right direction....I'll still keep my best spots for me though!
