RE: Any Remington 710 shooters
I handled my first 710 tonight. The dealer and I just looked at each other as I worked the bolt and shook our heads. The commission wasn't worth the guilt he'd have after selling me that thing. The bolt didn't slide very smoothly. it actually took some effort. It was hard to close the bolt on an empty chamber, let alone a tight fitting round. The fit wasn't right for me, either. The metal parts were kind of cheap looking and the stock was the worst part. It's totally thin and hollow and not that flush with the action. I didn't like this gun at all. Maybe it shoots well, but I'd take a Savage if I were going to go cheap. Now that's a solid gun.
