USUALLY there's far less deer movement during windy days, but you never know - esp during the rut.

Last year, I was hunting during the rut in a spot where I normally was seeing good early morning and late afternoon movement. However, there was high winds that day (around 30mph) and I hadn't seen a thing, so I decided to cut my losses by getting down before I got blown out of the tree. Just after I lowered all my gear with my haul line, a beautiful, BIG 8 point walked into easy range and waltezed all around my open shooting lanes WHILE MY BOW WAS ON THE GROUND![:@]

I'd give anything to have that morning rewound!
