In 5 years of hunting the Green Swamp ..I've only seen one diamond back rattler out there and it was dead in the road. I've seen about 10 cotton mouths , and about 4 pigmy rattlers. To me the pigmy are your most dangerous..WHY? because they are hardto see. I would diffently either wear Good rubber boots or snakeboots. I was just looking at a pair of snakeboots for turkey hunting yesterday when my new Cabelas book arrived. I do plan to scout alot. I was drawn for the first weekend turkey hunt. I wll be scouting where I called in a bird last year.

Cell phones are useless out there in most places. I can call out of my stand or at some places ..but for the most parts they are useless on land.
