I count all the points. However, I believe it is more a geographic thing. It seems that people from the east and midwest say 10 point where more people from the west say 5 x 5. I don't know if this is accurate. This is just the way it seems to me. I think its because you westerners have more large game animals like mulies and elk that have many more points than a your typical whitetail. JMHO
yeah I understand where you're coming from. I was raised in INDIANA!!! Go all you HOOSIER HUNTERS! Anyways, my brother guided in wyoming when I was little. When he came back he was using #x# and that's when I started using it. I think I'm one of the extremely few easterners who will actually use #x#, but that's ok. It works either way. Most guys will know either way when you're talking about it.
